If a person is taking a trip on an RV there are some tools that they should take along. These tools will be part of the RV tool kit that can be used in case of emergencies. These are some important tools and other items to take along on an RV trip.

Utility Bit Screwdriver

This tool is one of the most important things in the RV. It can be used for many different purposes and to fix many different things.

Different screwdriver tips make it a useful contact tool to have in the RV.

Claw Hammer

This hammer can be used not only as the traditional hammer but can be used to bend things back into shape. It can also be used in the same manner as a crowbar to help pry things apart.

Duct Tape

Duct tape can be used to fix just about anything. This tape can be used to fix leaking hoses and it can be used for many things. This is something that should be kept close by in the RV.

Flashlight

It is a good idea to have a flashlight in the RV. Even if there is a flashlight on the cell phone another flashlight should be kept around. This will allow a person to light up a room or if they want to light up the campsite without turning everything on.

Pocket Knife

This knife can be used for many different purposes from opening a package to slicing up some fruit. A person should look for a folding knife that can clip onto bags. It can also be used when working on the RV and will be handy. A person should be aware of local laws for carrying knives when they travel to different states. The knife can be kept in the RV when a person is not sure if they should be carrying it.

Tire Pressure Gauge

It is important to check the tire pressure on the RV to detect if there is a problem before going on the road. The tires can also be used periodically during the trip. The tire pressure for larger RV tires can be as high as 100 psi. A digital gauge may be more beneficial for these as it will provide a higher reading. This will allow a person to determine if the tires are good or if they need air or even repair.

Pilers

Pilers especially needle nose pliers come in handy during an RV trip. The pilers can help when trying to grip something and this will be a big impact on the road.

 Adjustable Wrench

When space is limited a set of adjustable wrenches can take care of most things. They often come in a set of small, medium, and large sizes which will help take care of many needs. They can be used to tighten or loosen nuts and bolts.

Socket and Ratchet

This set is needed to make sure that a person can do all the work they need to and it can get into places that are wrench may not be able to reach. There is an SAE socket as well as metric sockets that make good places and handy tools in an RV.

Wire Cutters

These wire cutters may be helpful when cutting wires but that is not all that they are good for. They can also help when it comes to cutting zip ties.

Zip Ties

Different size zip ties can be used to hold things together. They should work for most things and can even be used to help secure the license plate if a screw or something similar were to fall out.

Tape Measure

A standard tape measure should be good for most things in the RVs. If something were to break then this would allow a person to get the proper measures to fix it.

First Aid Kit

A standard first aid kit will help fix up small cuts or burns that a person may have while they are on the road.

These are some common supplies that a person should have with them while they are in an RV. This will allow them to fix problems before they become larger issues and be able to take care of things even if they are away from home.
